Minister Billy Hawkins was born In Gary Indiana where he spent all his childhood. At the age of 18, he came to Minnesota looking for a change. Billy struggled with addictions, growing up in the lifestyle of the streets without a father figure. In 2008, while in Hennepin County Jail, the Lord spoke to Billy and told him to go to Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge. Billy went to MNATC in March of 2008 and graduated in 2009. He then went to the Ministry School in 2009 and graduated in 2011. While he was in the Ministry School, God gave Billy the vision of Rooted Men's Ministry, which he founded in March 2012. Billy has a passion to see men be better fathers, faithful husbands, and men who God will use for His Kingdom. Billy ministers to men who are in prison, in recovery, and in need of mentoring. Billy has also been the husband of Christina Hawkins for 25 years. They were married Oct 30, 1992, divorced in 2005, and reunited on June 30, 2012 Billy and Christina live in Eden Prairie MN with their three teenage children.
